The Phoenix Coyotes are proud to announce the first of three youth hockey clinics to take place on Monday, November 13th, 2006. Youth hockey players, ages 9-12, will have a chance of a lifetime-to skate on the ice at Glendale Arena and receive professional instruction from former NHL players Jim Johnson, Darren Pang, and Louie DeBrusk.
The clinic will start out with a V.I.P. behind the scenes tour of the Coyotes locker room and will continue with a one hour off-ice discussion on basic positioning, tactics, and skill sets. From there, participants will partake in a 20-minute warm-up session with Mike Bahn, Phoenix Coyotes Strength & Conditioning Coordinator.
The evening concludes with an hour of on-ice instruction led by former NHL players and current Phoenix Coyotes Color Analysts Darren Pang and Louie DeBrusk. Also leading the on-ice session will be former Phoenix Coyote and coach of the 2005 Tier II U14 National Champion Phoenix Mustangs, Jim Johnson.
The cost of the clinic is $50 and includes a lower level ticket to the November 14th game against the Minnesota Wild, a Phoenix Coyotes Youth Hockey Clinic jersey, a Phoenix Coyotes water bottle, and professional instruction from former NHL players.
To ensure proper instruction and participation, the clinic will be limited to the first 34 registrants (30 skaters and 4 goalies). Click here to download the registration form.
