COYOTES TO HOLD ADA NIGHT FEB. 15

by Staff Writer / Arizona Coyotes

Thursday, February 15th, 7:00 P.M. vs. Anaheim Ducks

In honor of February Coyotes Causes being Children's Health Month, the Phoenix Coyotes have partnered with the American Diabetes Association to promote Diabetes awareness on Thursday, February 15th at 7:00 P.M. during the game against the Anaheim Ducks.

Six members of the Coyotes organization are supporting the American Diabetes Association's 2007 Camp AZDA by sponsoring children to send to the camp. There will be a pre-game presentation with the Camp AZDA campers and their Coyotes sponsors. Camp AZDA is the only camp in the state for children with diabetes and has been serving children with diabetes for over 30 years.

Coyotes General Manager Mike Barnett, players Georges Laraque, Oleg Saprykin, Jeremy Roenick, Nick Boynton and Pack dance team member Allison Hastay will all sponsor children with diabetes attending Camp AZDA.

This cause is especially important to Boyton and Hastay as they both have Diabetes and are able to manage the disease to incorporate it into their daily lives.

Camp AZDA lets kids see that they are not alone in their fight. It provides kids the opportunity to learn about their disease and how to manage it.
