GLENDALE, ARIZONA -- The Arizona Coyotes announced today that the team is collaborating with the Phoenix Zoo to distribute full size street hockey sticks and balls at the Raise the Pack Stick Drive during the Cruise the Zoo event from July 2-6.

The Coyotes and Phoenix Zoo are excited to support the community and provide a resource for parents to keep their kids active during these times while continuing to help grow the game of hockey throughout Arizona. Additionally, the Coyotes encourage families to attend and support the zoo and its animals following its severe financial losses during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"The Coyotes are excited to collaborate with the Phoenix Zoo on this great event," said Coyotes President & CEO Xavier Gutierrez. "The Phoenix Zoo is a tremendous community asset and we hope that many parents take advantage of this opportunity to support the zoo and get their kids interested in the great sport of hockey."

Kids ages 4 - 12 interested in learning to play street hockey will receive their sticks and balls from Coyotes staff as cars are exiting. Kids will also receive a code to view online skills videos taught by Coyotes alum Cale Hulse, Olympic medalist Lyndsey Fry and PWHPA player Katie McGovern. Videos will be distributed beginning the week of July 13 and will feature two drills/skills per week for four weeks. Spanish subtitles will be included in the videos.

Cars may begin entering the zoo at 7:00 am while the last car must be in line by 11:00 am each day. The zoo is encouraging attendees to wear and decorate their cars in red, white and blue or wear their favorite Arizona Coyotes apparel and tag their photos on social media with @phoenixzoo.

Tickets must be purchased ahead of time to attend this event. For more information, car decorating guidelines and to purchase tickets, visit
