GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- Phoenix Coyotes President and COO Douglas Moss announced today that the Coyotes will be donating $10,000 to the American Red Cross to assist the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
The Coyotes will also donate all money raised from the Coyotes 50/50 raffle at all four Coyotes home preseason games (Sept. 16, 20, 28 and Oct. 1) to the American Red Cross.
In addition, as part of CoyotesFest this Saturday, September 10 at Glendale Arena, the Coyotes will charge adults $5.00 and children $1.00 for Zamboni rides and locker room tours. The Coyotes will match the amount raised at the event and donate all funds to the American Red Cross.
The Coyotes will also be working with the Salvation Army for a food and clothing drive for CoyotesFest and all four Coyotes home preseason games. The Coyotes are encouraging all fans to bring new clothing, toys and toiletries to CoyotesFest and all Coyotes preseason games. Items collected will be donated to the Salvation Army or the Hurricane Katrina Relief efforts.
