Coyotes Sign Latta to One-Year, Two-Way Contract

Center Michael Latta has played 113 NHL games, all with Washington

GLENDALE, ARIZONA - Arizona Coyotes General Manager John Chayka announced today that the Coyotes have signed forward Michael Latta to a one-year, two-way contract. As per club policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.

The 26-year-old Latta recorded 5-17-22 and 128 penalty minutes (PIM) in 61 games with the Ontario Reign and Rockford IceHogs (AHL) last season. The 6-foot, 207-pound forward has registered 4-13-17 and 130 PIM in 113 career NHL games with the Washington Capitals and has collected 43-80-123 and 562 PIM in 244 career AHL games.

The St. Clements, Ont. native was originally drafted by the Nashville Predators in the third round (72nd overall) of the 2009 NHL Draft.
