– Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have signed goaltender Marek Langhamer
to a three-year entry-level contract. As per club policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.
The 6-foot-2, 186-pound Langhamer posted a 23-14-3 record with a 2.58 goals against average (GAA) and a .913 save percentage (SV%) in 40 regular season games with Medicine Hat (WHL) this season. He finished seventh in the league in GAA and 10th in SV% in 2013-14. The 19-year-old native of Moravska Trebova, Czech Republic also posted a 9-8-1 record with a 2.35 GAA and a .934 SV% in 18 postseason games with the Tigers.
Langhamer was originally drafted by the Coyotes in the seventh round (184th overall) in the 2012 Entry Draft.
