SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA - Arizona Coyotes General Manager Bill Armstrong announced today that the Coyotes have signed forward Barrett Hayton to a two-year contract. As per club policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.

"We are very pleased to sign Barrett to a new contract," said Armstrong. "Barrett is a young, talented, hard-working player who made significant strides last year. We're excited to have him on our roster for this season."
The 22-year-old Hayton recorded 10-14-24 with 20 penalty minutes (PIM) in 60 games with the Coyotes this season. He set NHL career highs in games, goals, assists, points, and PIM.
The 6-foot-1, 207-pound forward also scored two power-play goals (PPGs) and five power-play points (PPPs).
The Peterborough, ON native registered his first career multi-goal/point game with two goals at STL, Nov. 16. He posted a career-high three assists at DET, Mar. 8 and matched his career high for points in a game with 1-2-3 at DAL, Apr. 27.
Hayton, who was drafted by the Coyotes in the first round (fifth overall) in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, has totaled 13-18-31 with 34 PIM in 94 career games.
