Coyotes Sign Grant to One-Year, Two-Way Contract

GLENDALE, ARIZONA – Arizona Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have signed defenseman Alex Grant to a one-year two-way contract. As per club policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.

The 26-year-old Grant registered 6-27-33 and 57 penalty minutes (PIM) in 58 games with the Binghamton Senators (AHL) last season. The 6-foot-4, 205-pound native of Antigonish, NS has totaled 2-0-2 and a plus-three rating in two career NHL games with the Anaheim Ducks.

Grant was originally drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the fourth round (118th overall) in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
