GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- Arizona Coyotes General Manager Bill Armstrong announced today that the club has signed free agent right wing Tyler Pitlick to a two-year contract. As per club policy, terms of the contract were not announced.

"We are very pleased to sign Tyler to a multi-year contract," said Armstrong. "Tyler is a big, strong, versatile forward who plays with an edge and will add grit and energy to our lineup. He also has good speed and is an effective penalty killer."
Last season, the 6-foot-2, 200-pound Pitlick played in 63 games for the Philadelphia Flyers, recording 8-12-20 and 12 penalty minutes (PIM). He also played in 16 playoff games, collecting 2-1-3. Prior to that, he played two seasons with the Dallas Stars (2017-2019), collecting 22-17-39 and 40 PIM in 127 games. In 2017-18, Pitlick set career highs with the Stars in games played (80), goals (14), assists (13) and points (27).
The 28-year-old native of Minneapolis, MN began his career with the Edmonton Oilers after being drafted by the club in the second round (31st overall) in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. Pitlick played three seasons with the Oilers, collecting 11-3-14 and 10 PIM in 58 games.
In 248 career NHL games with Edmonton, Dallas and Philadelphia, Pitlick has recorded 41-32-73 and 62 PIM.
