GLENDALE, ARIZONA - Arizona Coyotes General Manager Bill Armstrong announced today that the Coyotes have signed forward Dylan Guenther to a three-year entry-level contract. Guenther was drafted by the Coyotes in the first round (ninth overall) in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. As per club policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.

"We are very pleased to welcome Dylan to the Coyotes organization," said Armstrong. "Dylan is an extremely skilled and smart player with a great work ethic. We are confident that he will become a very good NHL player and look forward to watching his development this season."
The 18-year-old Guenther recorded 12-12-24 and was plus-19 in 12 games with the Edmonton Oil Kings (WHL) in 2020-21. His 24 points in 12 games led all players in points/game (2.00). Guenther was named the Central Division's Player of the Year and Most Sportsmanlike Player.
The 6-foot-1, 181-pound forward has totaled 41-46-87, a plus-47 rating and 24 penalty minutes (PIM) in 78 career WHL games with the Oil Kings. He became the first Oil Kings player in franchise history to capture the WHL's Jim Pigott Trophy as the league's Rookie of the Year following his 2019-20 season when he collected 26-33-59 in 58 games.
The Edmonton, AB native also won a gold medal with Team Canada at the IIHF U18 World Championships in Texas where he had 4-3-7 in seven games while serving as an alternate captain.
