GLENDALE, ARIZONA -Arizona Coyotes General Manager Bill Armstrong announced today that the Coyotes have signed center Travis Boyd to a two-year contract extension. As per club policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.

"We are very pleased to sign Travis to a two-year contract extension," said Armstrong. "He is a versatile, skilled center who has been a great addition to our forward group and we look forward to having him on our roster next season."

The 28-year-old Boyd has registered 10-14-24 with 22 penalty minutes (PIM) in 46 games with the Coyotes this season. He currently ranks fourth on the team in goals and tied for fifth in points.

The 6-foot, 190-pound center has already established NHL career highs in goals, points, power-play points (3) and shots (56) this season. He is one assist away from matching his career best of 15 (2018-19).

The Hopkins, MN native has totaled 23-42-65 and 34 PIM in 170 career NHL games with the Coyotes, Vancouver Canucks, Toronto Maple Leafs and Washington Capitals.

Boyd was drafted by the Capitals in the sixth round (177th overall) in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. He signed a one-year contract with Arizona on August 3, 2021.
