SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA - Arizona Coyotes General Manager Bill Armstrong announced today that the Coyotes have signed forward Nick Bjugstad to a one-year contract. Per club policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

"We are very pleased to have Nick join the Coyotes," said Armstrong. "He is a big, strong, two-way forward who will provide experience and leadership. We look forward to having him on our roster next season."
The 29-year-old Bjugstad registered 7-6-13 with 20 penalty minutes (PIM) in 57 games with the Minnesota Wild in 2021-22. He also posted a 55.3 face-off percentage (FO%).
The Minneapolis, MN native has totaled 110-127-237 with 235 PIM in 540 career NHL games with the Wild, Pittsburgh Penguins and Florida Panthers. Bjugstad has also collected 3-2-5 with six PIM and is plus-three in 15 career Stanley Cup Playoff games.
The 6-foot-6, 209-pound forward played in his 500th career NHL game on Nov. 26, 2021, vs. Winnipeg. He scored an NHL career-high 24 goals in 2014-15 and recorded an NHL career-best 49 points (19-30-49) in 82 games in 2017-18.
Bjugstad was originally drafted by the Panthers in the first round (19th overall) in the 2010 NHL Draft.
