GLENDALE, ARIZONA - Arizona Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have signed goaltender Adin Hill to a three-year entry-level contract. As per Club policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.
The 19-year-old Hill posted a 32-27-5 record with a .917 save percentage (SV%), 2.96 goals against average (GAA) and three shutouts in 65 games with Portland (WHL) this season. Hill finished the year ranked fourth in the WHL in wins, seventh in save percentage and led the League with 2,115 saves. Last season, Hill recorded a 31-11-1 mark with a 2.81 GAA and a .921 SV% in 46 games.
The 6-foot-4, 203 pound goaltender from Comox, British Columbia won two Vaughn CHL Goaltender of the Week awards in consecutive weeks (Oct. 19 – 25, Oct. 16 – Nov. 1) this season.
Hill was drafted by the Coyotes in the third round (76th overall) of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
