, Brett MacLean
, Andy Miele, Jordan Szwarz
, Ethan Werek
, defensemen Maxim Goncharov, Connor Murphy
, David Rundblad from the Portland Pirates, the Coyotes American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate. The Coyotes also recalled goaltender Louis Domingue
from the Quebec Ramparts (QMJHL).
Hextall, 24, recorded 7-8-15 in 72 games with the Pirates this season (his first professional season). He was Phoenix’s seventh choice (sixth round, 159th overall) in the 2008 Entry Draft.
MacLean, 23, led the Pirates in goals (25), PPG (8) and SOG (223). He registered 25-23-48 in 63 games with Portland. He was Phoenix’s third choice (second round, 32nd overall) in the 2007 Entry Draft.
Miele, 24, led the Pirates in assists (38) and points (54) this season (his first professional season). He made his NHL debut with Phoenix on Oct. 23, 2011 at Anaheim. Miele signed with the Coyotes as a free agent on Apr. 2, 2011.
Szwarz, 20, appeared in 58 games for the Pirates this season, registering 7-13-20 (his first professional season). He was Phoenix’s fourth choice (fourth round, 97th overall) in the 2009 Entry Draft.
Werek, 20, registered 10-9-19 in 67 games with the Pirates this season. He earned his first professional point (assist) in his professional debut at Bridgeport on Oct. 8, 2011. Werek was acquired from the N.Y. Rangers in exchange for Oscar Lindberg on May 8, 2011.
Goncharov, 22, appeared in 45 games for the Pirates this season, recording 1-3-4. He was Phoenix’s fifth choice (fifth round, 123rd overall) in the 2007 Entry Draft.
Murphy, 19, appeared in 35 games for the Sarnia Sting (OHL) recording 8-18-26. He also recorded 1-2-3 in six postseason games with the Sting. Murphy was Phoenix’s first choice (first-round, 20th overall) in the 2011 Entry Draft.
Rundblad, 21, recorded 7-9-16 in 30 games with the Pirates this season. He also appeared in six games with the Coyotes, collecting three assists. Rundblad posted 1-3-4 in 24 games with the Ottawa Senators before being acquired by the Coyotes on Dec. 17, 2011 in exchange for Kyle Turris. He was originally drafted by the St. Louis Blues in the first round (17th overall) in the 2009 Entry Draft.
Domingue, 20, appeared in 39 games with the Ramparts (QMJHL), posting a record of 23-8-2-2 with a 2.61 GAA, a .914 SV% and four shutouts. He ranked first among all QMJHL goaltenders in save percentage, third in shutouts and fourth in GAA. The Mont St. Hilaire, Quebec native posted a 7-3-1-0 record in the 2012 playoffs with a 2.65 GAA and a .897 SV %. He was drafted by the Coyotes in the fifth round (138th overall) in the 2010 Entry Draft.
