Coyotes Recall Jeffrey and P. Samuelsson, Assign Gaudet to AHL

GLENDALE, ARIZONA –

Arizona Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have recalled forward Dustin Jeffrey and defenseman Philp Samuelsson and assigned forward Tyler Gaudet to the Springfield Falcons, the club’s American Hockey League affiliate (AHL).

The 27-year-old Jeffrey has registered 5-7-12 and two penalty minutes (PIM) in 10 games with the Falcons this season. The 6-foot-2, 196-pound native of Sarnia, Ontario leads Springfield in points, goals and assists. He was recently named CCM/AHL Player of the Week for the period ending Nov. 1, 2015. Jeffrey was originally drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the sixth round (171st overall) in the 2007 Entry Draft.

The 24-year-old Samuelsson has recorded 0-4-4 and two PIM in 10 games with the Falcons. The 6-foot-2, 195-pound native of Leksand, Sweden has appeared in nine career NHL games with the Pittsburgh Penguins and Coyotes. Samuelsson was originally drafted by the Penguins in the 2nd round (61st overall) in the 2009 Entry Draft.

The 22-year-old Gaudet has totalled 0-1-1 in five games with the Coyotes in 2015-16.
