Coyotes Recall Climie from AHL

GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have recalled goaltender Matt Climie from the San Antonio Rampage, the Coyotes American Hockey League affiliate.

The 6-foot-3, 194-pound Climie has appeared in one game for the Coyotes this season, stopping 15 of 16 shots at Pittsburgh on Dec. 20.

In 21 games with the Rampage, Climie has posted a 14-7-0 record with a 2.53 goals against average and a .919 save percentage.

The 27-year-old native of Leduc, Alberta, signed with the Coyotes as a free agent on July 3, 2010. In 2009-10, Climie appeared in 43 games with the Texas Stars (AHL), posting a record of 21-17-3 with a 2.46 goals against average and a .919 save percentage.

The Coyotes will face off against the Colorado Avalanche tonight from Denver. Puck drop is slated for 7 p.m. Tonight’s game is radio only, fans can tune into the radio home of the Coyotes, XTRA Sports 910 AM.
