by Staff Writer / Arizona Coyotes

GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Michael Barnett announced today that the Coyotes have reassigned right wing Pavel Brendl to the San Antonio Rampage, the Coyotes' top minor league affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Brendl, 24, returns to San Antonio after having played in 2 games since being recalled on Saturday (Feb. 4).  The 24-year-old Brendl has also played in 38 games this season split between San Antonio and Lowell (AHL), collecting 13 goals, 14 assists and 27 points.

The 6-foot-1, 204-pound forward was acquired from the Carolina Hurricanes on Dec. 28, 2005 in exchange for Krystofer Kolanos.  In his NHL career, Brendl has played in 78 games and tallied 11-11-22 and 16 PIM with Philadelphia, Carolina and Phoenix.  He was originally drafted by the New York Rangers (4th overall) in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft.
