GLENDALE, Ariz. --- The Phoenix Coyotes have partnered with the U.S. Army to present the Phoenix Coyotes Army Strong Team of the Month Award to Arizona High School Hockey Association (AHSHA) teams throughout the 2008-09 season.

The Phoenix Coyotes Army Strong Team of the Month Award will be presented to AHSHA teams that exemplify the Army’s LDRSHIP core values, an acronym that stands for loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity and personal courage.

“We’re really looking for teams that demonstrate the Army’s core values, both on and off the ice,” said Scott Storkan, manager of hockey development for the Coyotes. “Hockey players, much like Army soldiers, rely on these values to succeed and we’re excited to have the opportunity to recognize them for their accomplishments.”

The public can nominate qualifying AHSHA teams by completing the online form at www.phoenixcoyotes.com/armystrong. Teams selected for the award will be featured during a Coyotes home game at Jobing.com Arena, as well as on a Coyotes television and radio broadcast.

For more information about the Phoenix Coyotes or to purchase tickets to an upcoming Coyotes home game, call 480-563-PUCK (7825).
