GLENDALE -- The Vegas Golden Knights selected Coyotes forward Teemu Pulkkinen as part of the NHL Expansion Draft on Wednesday night.
Pulkkinen, 25, played four games for the Coyotes last season after being acquired via a trade with Minnesota for future considerations on Feb. 27. He chipped in one goal. He is set to become a restricted free agent on July 1.
The Coyotes made 20 players from within the organization available to Vegas in the expansion draft including forwards Radim Vrbata, Jamie McGinn, and Brad Richardson, defenseman Kevin Connauton and goalie Louis Domingue.
The Golden Knights selected one player from all 30 existing teams via the Expansion Draft to help craft their inaugural roster for the 2017-18 season.
The Coyotes will host Vegas in Arizona's home opener for 2017-18 on Oct. 7, and the Coyotes will be the first opponent to play at Vegas on Oct. 10.
