GLENDALE, Ariz. – Phoenix Coyotes President and Chief Operating Officer Douglas Moss has announced that the team will select monthly "Leader of the Pack" award winners during the 2009-10 regular season.  The award program is part of the team’s season-long “Join the Pack” marketing initiative.

The "Leader of the Pack" award is designed to recognize the top Coyotes player, fan and community supporter for each month during the remainder of the season.  The Player of the Month will be determined by a vote on while the Coyotes will accept nomination on the team’s Web site for the Fan of the Month. The nominations, which will be available beginning Wednesday, Oct. 28, must include a full description of how the individual has demonstrated his or her commitment to the Pack. The Coyotes’ community relations department will select the Community Supporter of the Month, choosing the leader of a local non-profit organization who has gone above and beyond in his or her support of the team, fundraising efforts for Coyotes Charities and participation in Coyotes Causes.

The monthly award winners will be announced during the following Coyotes home games:

October: Announced at Nov. 21 game vs. Philadelphia (nominations end Nov. 6)
November: Announced at Dec. 12 game vs. San Jose (nominations end Nov. 30)
December: Announced at Jan. 16 game vs. Minnesota (nominations end Dec. 31)
January: Announced at Feb. 13 game vs. Dallas (nominations end Jan. 29)
February: Announced at Mar. 10 game vs. Vancouver (nominations end Feb. 26)
March and 2009-10 Season: Announced at Apr. 7 game vs. Nashville (nominations end Mar. 31)

The "Join The Pack" initiative is dedicated to strengthening the relationship between the Coyotes organization and its fans.
