The NHL's Phoenix Coyotes are proud to introduce a new dance team for the 2006 season. The 2006 "Pack" Dance Team will become the first NHL spirit squad to perform routines directly on the ice. The Coyotes held auditions August 13th and 14th.
"The Pack Dance Team will be one of many new and exciting elements that the Coyotes are adding to home games this season. Our goal is to make the fan experience at Glendale Arena second-to-none in professional sports," said Douglas Moss, Coyotes President and COO.
The team will make its first official public appearance at the team's annual CoyotesFest to be held at Glendale Arena on Saturday, September 9th. The Pack, along with current Coyotes players will be available for autographs and photos in addition to a wide array of family activities. Individual game tickets go on sale the same day.
The team will be led by Head Choreographer Kari Herrick and consultant Shelby Wells-Britton. Herrick is a five-time Phoenix Suns dancer and Wells-Britton is the President of ProSport Entertainment, a consulting firm specializing in the production of sports dance teams across the country.
