COYOTES HONOR JOSEPH ON SATURDAY

PHOENIX COYOTES TO HONOR CURTIS JOSEPH'S 400TH


NHL VICTORY IN PRE-GAME CEREMONY TOMORROW NIGHT

The Coyotes honored Joseph in a pre-game ceremony last Saturday night  prior to the Coyotes-Dallas Stars game at 7:00 p.m.  Coyotes goaltending coach Grant Fuhr - who also is a member of the 400-win club - was be part of the ceremony.

Joseph became only the 9th goaltender in NHL history to reach the 400-win plateau.  The other goaltenders who have at least 400 wins in the National Hockey League include:

1. Patrick Roy - 551
2. Terry Sawchuk - 447
3. Ed Belfour - 439
4. Jacques Plante - 437
5. Tony Esposito - 423
6. Martin Brodeur - 407
   
Glenn Hall - 407
8. Grant Fuhr - 403
9. CURTIS JOSEPH - 400

Joseph currently ranks third among active NHL goaltenders in wins, trailing only Ed Belfour and Martin Brodeur.  Joseph is now in his 16th NHL season and has collected: 137 wins with the St. Louis Blues from 1990 to 1995, 76 wins with the Edmonton Oilers from 1996 to 1998, 133 wins with the Toronto Maple Leafs from 1998 to 2002, 50 wins with the Detroit Red Wings from 2002 to 2004 and 4 wins with the Phoenix Coyotes in 2005.  He joined the Coyotes on Aug. 17, 2005 when he signed as a free agent.
