The Phoenix Coyotes held the 10th annual Face-Off Luncheon, which featured the 2006-07 Coyotes players and coaching staff on Tuesday, October 3rd at Glendale Arena.

Guests were invited to join Phoenix Coyotes Majority Investor Jerry Moyes, Chief Executive Officer Jeff Shumway, Managing Partner and Head Coach Wayne Gretzky, President and COO Douglas Moss, and General Manager and Executive Vice President Michael Barnett as well as the Coyotes players. Guests heard firsthand about the upcoming season, which included player information, team vision, and Coyotes Charities initiatives.

"Whether you are talking to management of the hockey team, or the players or management of the arena, (contributing to charities) is important to everybody," said John Breslow. "When you see the faces of these kids from the programs that we give to, it's unbelievable what we are doing."

Players, coaches and upper management sat at tables with the fans and enjoyed lunch while raising thousands of dollars for Coyotes Charities.

"Today was a great event," said Director of Coyotes Charities Michelle Shipitofsky. "With over 400 people in attendance, we raised a lot of money for Coyotes Charities."

Festivities included a silent auction, a raffle drawing and the presentation of the inaugural $100,000 Power-Play Award Grant.

"Any professional sports team really needs the support of its community, and when you do that, when you need people to come out here and support your team and support your arena, you're obligated to give back," said Coyotes President & COO Douglas Moss. "We are fortunate to be among a group of great athletes and great staff here who really know what it means to give back to the community and help those that are less fortunate than we are."
