Hoof joins the Coyotes from the University of South Florida (2013 - 2017), where he served as the Chief Marketing Officer/Vice President of Marketing and Communications for one of the nation's largest universities. Hoof led and implemented new strategies and tactics to promote the university's numerous campuses, colleges, and departments and served as a senior advisor to the university's president. In addition, he oversaw the development of the 2015 Athletic Department's marketing campaign which was recognized as the best in Collegiate Athletics by the National Sports Forum.
Prior to working for USF, Hoof was the Vice President of Marketing and Community Relations for the Tampa Bay Rays (MLB) from 2005 - 2013. Hoof executed a highly successful re-branding of the team from Tampa Devil Rays to Tampa Bay Rays, developed a new logo and promotions for the team, and led the organization through the transformation. He was responsible for introducing post-game concerts which significantly increased game attendance and developed creative promotional giveaways that were recognized by ESPN the Magazine as the best in all sports in 2012 and 2013.
From 1995 - 2005, Hoof spent 10 years in marketing for the best entertainment company in the world, Walt Disney World. As the organization's Marketing Director, Hoof helped drive Disney's attendance and brand loyalty by implementing highly successful partnership marketing strategies. He was also able to foster relationships with high-profile organizations including Coke, General Motors, Home Depot, Clear Channel and ABC.
Originally from Virginia, Hoof is a graduate of the University of Richmond.
