GLENDALE, ARIZ. –
A special contest driven by social media is offering fans the chance to meet Dale Earnhardt, Jr. in person at Diet Dew Race Night with the Phoenix Coyotes on Nov. 12, 2010 at Jobing.com Arena.
The Get Social with Dale Jr. Contest asks fans to visit a page on PhoenixCoyotes.com to enter and then ‘Like’ both the Phoenix Coyotes and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Both the Coyotes and JR Motorsports, Earnhardt Jr.’s management company, will be posting information about this contest on their Facebook pages and through their Twitter accounts. One grand prize winner will receive four tickets to the Coyotes vs. Calgary Flames game in a luxury suite and the opportunity to meet Dale Earnhardt Jr. during the game.
“We have more than 23,000 Facebook ‘fans’ and 8,000 Twitter followers and Dale Jr. has several thousand fans in Arizona, as well,” said Coyotes Vice President of Marketing and Communications Jim Brewer. “We hope to drive these fans to get in on the fun with Dale Jr. by providing the unique opportunity to actually meet him AND enjoy Diet Dew Race Night. It’s a compelling opportunity for fans of racing and hockey.”
The deadline to enter the contest is noon, Arizona time, on Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010. The winner will be notified Thursday afternoon.

Diet Dew Race Night features an evening of racing-themed entertainment elements, starting with a pregame race party on the Jobing.com Arena plaza. Fans can enjoy live music, activities, Diet Dew samples and an up-close view of the new No. 88 Diet Mountain Dew Paint the 88/National Guard Chevrolet beginning at 5 p.m. Doors to the Arena open at 6 p.m. and the game begins at 7 p.m. Earnhardt Jr. and his pit crew will make a special appearance on the ice with the newly re-designed car at the first intermission of the game. Fans can purchase a limited edition Race Night Pit Crew Pack that includes four tickets and four t-shirts for only $88.
