The Coyotes earned a point on Friday night against Vancouver despite playing minus key veterans Shane Doan and Derek Morris.
Just after warmups, the Coyotes announced that Doan would not play in the game because of an illness. He is considered day-to-day.
The club also announced that Morris had left the team because of a family matter. The team did not provide a timetable for his return.
In addition, the Coyotes again played without forward Lauri Korpikoski and defenseman Zbynek Michalek. Both injured players were in Vancouver with the team but did not dress for the game.
The Canucks beat the Coyotes 3-2 in overtime at Rogers Arena.
Phoenix next plays on Tuesday at Colorado.
