COYOTES CLINCH FIRST STANLEY CUP PLAYOFF BERTH SINCE 2002

GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- The Phoenix Coyotes clinched their first Stanley Cup Playoff berth since 2002 today as a result of the Calgary Flames’ 5-0 loss to the Boston Bruins this afternoon.

The Coyotes (46-23-6, 98 points) have already set Coyotes/Winnipeg Jets franchise records for most wins and points in a single season and entered play on Saturday in fourth place in the Western Conference standings. The Coyotes will host the Colorado Avalanche at 6 p.m. tonight at Jobing.com Arena.

Individual game tickets for Coyotes home games during the first round of the 2010 Stanley Cup Playoffs are now on sale. Fans have the ability to purchase individual game tickets starting at just $25 to each home game of Round 1 of the playoffs at the Jobing.com Arena Box Office, Ticketmaster outlets, www.phoenixcoyotes.com/playofftickets or by calling 480-563-PUCK (7825). In addition, playoff strips, which include tickets to each potential home game throughout the entirety of the Stanley Cup Playoffs in the same seat location, are also available.
