GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- Get ready Phoenix…the WhiteOut is coming back to Arena!

The Phoenix Coyotes clinched a Stanley Cup Playoff berth for the third consecutive season tonight as a result of the Dallas Stars 2-0 loss to the Nashville Predators.

"Our players have worked hard all season and we are happy to be in the playoffs but our season isn't done yet," Head Coach Dave Tippett said.  "We have two important games left and we need to continue to work hard and get better for the post-season."

The Coyotes play at St. Louis on Friday and at Minnesota on Saturday.

It marks the first time that the Coyotes have qualified for the Stanley Cup Playoffs in three or more consecutive seasons since the team clinched a playoff berth in its first four seasons in the Valley (1996-97 to 1999-2000).

The Coyotes (40-27-13, 93 points) have won at least 40 games in three consecutive seasons - a first in franchise history.

Heading into Friday night’s game versus the St. Louis Blues, the Coyotes currently sit in seventh place in the Western Conference with two games left. The Coyotes could finish the regular season in third, seventh or eighth place. The complete first-round schedule for the Stanley Cup Playoffs will be released by the NHL on Sunday at 10 a.m. (Arizona time).

Individual game tickets for the Coyotes home games during the first round of the 2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs are now on sale. Fans can purchase individual game tickets starting at just $40. For more information, please call 480-563-PUCK or visit
