GLENDALE, ARIZONA -Arizona Coyotes President of Hockey Operations and General Manager John Chayka announced today that the Coyotes have claimed goaltender Calvin Pickard off waivers from the Philadelphia Flyers.
The 26-year-old Pickard has registered a 4-2-2 record with a 4.01 goals against average (GAA) and a .863 save percentage (SV%) in 11 games with the Flyers this season.

Last season, Pickard played in 33 games with the Toronto Marlies (AHL), going 21-9-1 with a 2.31 GAA and a .918 SV% and helped the Marlies win the Calder Cup.
The 6-foot-1, 207-pound native of Moncton, NB has posted a career NHL record of 32-46-9 with a 2.89 GAA and a .909 SV% in 98 career games over five seasons with the Colorado Avalanche, Toronto Maple Leafs and Flyers.
Pickard was originally drafted by the Avalanche in the second round (49th overall) in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
The Coyotes also assigned forward Mario Kempe to the Tucson Roadrunners, the club's American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate.
