GLENDALE, Ariz. --- Phoenix Coyotes Charities Chairman John Breslow announced today that Coyotes Charities raised over $450,000 during the 2007-2008 season, netting $150,000 more than any year in the history of the organization.
“The Coyotes fans and other members of the community have been extremely generous to Coyotes Charities this past year,” said Breslow. “It’s because of their efforts that we have the privilege of being able to support many deserving non-profit organizations throughout Arizona.”
Starting today, Arizona nonprofits are able to apply for Coyotes Charities grants that will be distributed at the beginning of the 2008-2009 season. To be eligible, organizations must be classified as a 501(c)(3) public charity and focus on improving the lives of children in the areas of healthcare, education, cultural arts or youth sports.

and must be submitted by 5 p.m. July 11.
Coyotes Charities has granted nearly $1.4 million to youth-oriented organizations in Arizona including Big Brothers Big Sisters, Valley Youth Theatre and Special Olympics Arizona.
Coyotes Charities, a registered 501(c)(3) organization, is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life throughout Arizona communities by supporting non-profit organizations that promote healthcare, education, cultural arts and sports-related programs for children.
