September 27, 2010GLENDALE, ARIZONA –
Live NHL hockey offers fast-paced, non-stop action that can make it difficult to take a break without missing something. The Phoenix Coyotes, ARAMARK, the Coyotes’ exclusive food and beverage partner, and Jobing.com Arena have teamed up with Bypass Lane to offer a solution for fans who want a convenient way to order food from the comfort of their seats.
Bypass Lane is a ground-breaking mobile technology that allows fans to order and pay for concessions on their smartphones, bypassing the concessions lines. In addition, it allows teams and venues to streamline the ordering process and add point of sale opportunities. The Phoenix Coyotes are the first NHL team to offer a venue-wide solution that allows every fan from any seat in the arena to use the service. Bypass Lane will be available for all Jobing.com Arena events.
“Jobing.com Arena is truly state-of-the-art and this addition to our service offerings is a great way to incorporate technology to improve the guest experience,” Jobing.com Arena General Manager Jim Foss said. “From Coyotes games to family shows to concerts, this added convenience will allow our guests to keep their attention on the entertainment while still enjoying the full event experience.”
Bypass Lane, an Austin-based company, is the innovative team behind the technology. By navigating to www.BypassLane.com
on their smartphones (iPhone, Android, Blackberry OS6, Dell mobile devices, Palm mobile devices among others), fans can view the full food and drink menus of select concessions stands in the vicinity of their seats. Fans then place their order and pay with a credit card using Bypass' secure payment platform. A text message is sent to the fan when their order is ready for pickup from the nearest Bypass Lane, helping them get back to their seat in short order.
"Integrating mobile technology with our food and beverage services is part of our ongoing commitment to deliver innovative and convenient offerings that further enhance the guest experience at Jobing.com Arena," said ARAMARK General Manager Bill Cupo, who oversees concessions at the Arena.
"At Bypass Lane, we are passionate about the fan experience and believe concessions lines are an unnecessary obstacle to enjoying a game of hockey. Now they are a thing of the past for Phoenix Coyotes fans and attendees at all Jobing.com Arena events," Bypass Lane President Brandon Lloyd said. "We are excited to work with the Coyotes and the Arena and look forward to announcing additional Bypass Lane venues and team partners across the nation in the coming weeks and months ahead."
