COYOTES AT THE WORLD JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP

Seven Coyotes prospects are participating at the 2016 IIHF World Junior Championship in Helsinki, Finland. They are: forwards Brendan Perlini and Dylan Strome for Canada; forwards Christian Dvorak and Ryan MacInnis for USA; and goalie Erik Kallgren and forwards Anton Karlsson and Jens Looke for Sweden.

GAMES PLAYED ON DEC. 30

USA 10, Switzerland 1

Christian Dvorak notched one goal and two assists to help Team USA rout Switzerland. Dvorak scored the first goal of the game at 7:23 of the first period.

After three games, Dvorak ranks tied for eighth among all players with three assists and tied for second in plus-minus rating at plus-5.

Ryan MacInnis took one shot on goal for the Americans, but he did not factor in the scoring. After three games, MacInnis leads Team USA and ranks fifth overall in face-off percentage at 69.2 percent.

Sweden 5, Denmark 0

Anton Karlsson and Jens Looke played on Sweden’s fourth line. Looke took one shot on goal and assisted on Sweden’s fourth goal at 10:02 of the third period.

Goalie Erik Kallgren did not dress for this game.
