COYOTES AT THE WORLD JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP

Seven Coyotes prospects are participating at the 2016 IIHF World Junior Championship in Helsinki, Finland. They are: forwards Brendan Perlini and Dylan Strome for Canada; forwards Christian Dvorak and Ryan MacInnis for USA; and goalie Erik Kallgren and forwards Anton Karlsson and Jens Looke for Sweden.

GAMES PLAYED ON DEC. 28

Canada 6, Denmark 1

Dylan Strome scored Canada’s sixth goal, on a power play at 9:32 of the third period, and assisted on Mitch Marner’s even-strength goal in the second period.

With three points in two games, Strome is tied for sixth place in tournament scoring.

Brendan Perlini also played for the Canadians but did not factor in the scoring vs. Denmark.

Sweden 1, USA 0

Christian Dvorak and Ryan MacInnis each took one shot on goal in the first period for the Americans.

Anton Karlsson and Jens Looke played on Sweden’s fourth line but did not factor in the scoring. Looke took one shot on goal in the first period.

Goalie Erik Kallgren did not dress for this game.
