by Staff Writer / Arizona Coyotes
GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have assigned right wing Bill Thomas to the San Antonio Rampage (AHL).

Thomas, 24, appeared in four games for the Coyotes after being recalled from San Antonio on Dec. 1.  Prior to that, he had recorded 9-9-18 and 14 penalty minutes (PIM) in 24 games with San Antonio this season.  At the time if his recall, he ranked third on the Rampage in goals and points.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Thomas registered 8-6-14 and 2 PIM in 24 games for the Coyotes last season.  He also appeared in 47 games for San Antonio, recording 13-20-33 and was selected to play in the AHL All-Star Game but was unable to participate due to a call-up to Phoenix.

Thomas made his NHL debut on Mar. 28, 2006 after signing with the Coyotes as a free agent.  The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native has collected 9-8-17 in 37 career NHL games.
