GLENDALE, ARIZONA - Arizona Coyotes General Manager John Chayka announced today that the Coyotes have assigned center Dylan Strome to the Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL).

The 19-year-old Strome collected an assist and averaged 13:41 of ice time in seven games with the Coyotes this season.

"Dylan has made exceptional progress and continues to make strides to being an elite center in this league," said Chayka. "At this point in time we felt it was best for his development to get him back playing in junior, but his future in the NHL is very bright."

The 6-foot-3, 194-pound native of Mississauga, Ontario was originally drafted by the Coyotes in the first round (3rd overall) of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
