COYOTES REACH ONE-YEAR ECHL AFFILIATION
AGREEMENT WITH PHOENIX ROADRUNNERS

GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Michael Barnett announced today that the Coyotes have reached a one-year ECHL affiliation agreement with the Phoenix RoadRunners for the 2006-07 season.

"We look forward to working with the RoadRunners and see benefits to both organizations from this new relationship," said Barnett.

The Phoenix RoadRunners are one of 26 teams in the ECHL. The RoadRunners play in the West Division of the National Conference along with Alaska, Idaho, Las Vegas, Utah and Victoria. The RoadRunners' president is former Coyotes' player Claude Lemieux and the team's COO and general manager is Ray Delia. The club is coached by Ron Filion.

The RoadRunners joined the ECHL on February 1, 2005 and played their first game on October 21, 2005 at Utah. Last season, the team finished with a 20-47-5 record. The RoadRunners home arena is the US Airways Center.
