GLENDALE, ARIZONA -- The Arizona Coyotes announced today that the team is collaborating with the Nashville Predators to host a virtual Pet Supply Drive from July 26 to August 1 to support local animal shelters and rescues in both team's cities.

The Coyotes' team dog, Luna, is competing against the Predators' dog, Smash, in a friendly competition to benefit their respective communities.

Luna and Smash have setup Amazon wish lists containing items to help dogs and cats in their areas. All sizes are needed for collars, leashes, vests, harnesses and beds for dogs and cats.

"We are thrilled to be back in the post-season and look forward to competing against Nashville in our Stanley Cup Qualifier series," said Coyotes President & CEO Xavier Gutierrez. "It is essential for the Coyotes to be a leader in the community and to give back. We are proud to team up with the Predators on the Pet Supplies Drive and Blood Drive to help those in need. We hope that our great fans assist us in these efforts to help make a difference in our community."

The Coyotes and Predators are also hosting upcoming blood drives in their cities to help increase donations during the Covid19 pandemic. More information on the Coyotes' blood drive with Vitalant at Gila River Arena will be released soon. "Although shortly our teams will be competing on the ice in pursuit of the Stanley Cup, we are thrilled to partner with the Arizona Coyotes organization on the Pet Supplies Drive and Blood Drive. During such a difficult time for many, we look forward to coming together and channeling the passion of our fans in a way that will improve each of our communities."
