Goalie Scott Wedgewood comes to Arizona in exchange for a fifth-round draft choice in 2018

GLENDALE, ARIZONA - Arizona Coyotes President of Hockey Operations and General Manager John Chayka announced today that the Coyotes have acquired goaltender Scott Wedgewood from the New Jersey Devils in exchange for a fifth-round draft choice in 2018 (originally Calgary's).

The 25-year-old Wedgewood is 1-0-0 with a 1.00 goals against average (GAA) and a .973 save percentage (SV%) with the Binghamton Devils (AHL) this season. He owns a 51-36-9 record with a 2.35 GAA, a .908 SV% and eight shutouts in 110 career AHL appearances.

The 6-foot-2, 195-pound native of Brampton, ON has registered a 2-1-1 record with a 1.25 GAA and a .957 SV% in four career NHL games with the Devils.

Wedgewood was originally drafted by New Jersey in the third round (84th overall) in the 2010 Entry Draft.

The Coyotes also assigned goaltender Adin Hill to the Tucson Roadrunners, the club's American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate.
