GLENDALE, ARIZONA -Arizona Coyotes General Manager Bill Armstrong announced today that the Coyotes have acquired forward Nick Ritchie and a conditional second round draft choice from the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for forward Ryan Dzingel and defenseman Ilya Lyubushkin.

"We are excited to have Nick join our roster," said Armstrong. "He is a big, tough, strong winger who will add depth and physicality to our forward group.

The 26-year-old Ritchie has registered 2-7-9 with 23 penalty minutes (PIM) in 33 games with the Maple Leafs this season. The 6-foot-3, 236-pound forward has totaled 61-85-146 and 410 PIM in 383 career NHL games with the Maple Leafs, Boston Bruins and Anaheim Ducks.
The Orangeville, ON native scored a career-high 15 goals with Boston in 2020-21 while he collected a career-best 31 points with Anaheim in 2018-19.
Ritchie was originally drafted by the Ducks in the first round (10th overall) in the 2014 NHL Draft.
Dzingel has recorded 4-3-7 and 35 PIM in 26 games with the Coyotes this season.
Lyubushkin collected 0-9-9 with 26 PIM in 46 contests with Arizona in 2021-22. He totaled 1-18-19 and 67 PIM in 180 career games with the Coyotes.
