GLENDALE, ARIZONA ---Arizona Coyotes President of Hockey Operations and General Manager John Chayka announced today that the Coyotes have acquired forward Tye McGinn and goaltender Michael Leighton from the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for goaltender Louis Domingue.
The 6-foot-3, 218-pound McGinn has registered 2-3-5 and 29 penalty minutes (PIM) in 11 games with the Syracuse Crunch (AHL) this season. The 27-year-old native of Fergus, Ontario has totaled 9-8-17 and 44 PIM in 89 career NHL games with the Lightning, Coyotes, San Jose Sharks and Philadelphia Flyers. McGinn was originally drafted by the Flyers in the fourth round (119th overall) in the 2010 Entry Draft.
