GLENDALE, ARIZONA – Arizona Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have acquired forward Maxim Letunov from the St. Louis Blues in exchange for defenseman Zbynek Michalek and a conditional third round draft choice in the 2015 Entry Draft.

"Maxim is a big, skilled center with excellent upside," Maloney said. "He will play at Boston University next season who do a great job developing players. We are excited to have him join our organization."
The 19-year-old Letunov has recorded 21-29-50 and 16 penalty minutes (PIM) in 45 games with Youngstown (USHL) this season. The 6-foot-3, 168-pound native of Moskva, Russia was originally drafted by the Blues in the second round (52nd overall) in the 2014 Entry Draft.
"We would like to thank Zbynek for all his contributions to the Coyotes over the years," Maloney said. "Z is a fierce competitor and a great person and we wish him all the best in the future."
Michalek registered 2-6-8 and 12 PIM in 53 games with the Coyotes this season.
