Coyotes Acquire Fiore from Anaheim in Exchange for Murphy

GLENDALE, ARIZONA - Arizona Coyotes President of Hockey Operations and General Manager John Chayka announced today that the Coyotes have acquired forward Giovanni Fiore from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for defenseman Trevor Murphy.

The 22-year-old Fiore has registered 6-5-11 and eight penalty minutes (PIM) in 23 games with the San Diego Gulls (AHL) this season.

The 6-foot-1, 194-pound native of Laval, QC has recorded 24-17-41 and 29 PIM in 88 games with the Gulls. Fiore has also played in one game with the Ducks.

Murphy recorded 7-15-22 and 30 PIM in 38 games with the Tucson Roadrunners and collected 1-2-3 in eight games with the Coyotes last season.
