Coyotes Acquire 2026 3rd-Round Pick From Carolina for Gostisbehere

SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA -Arizona Coyotes General Manager Bill Armstrong announced today that the Coyotes have acquired a 2026 third-round draft choice from the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere.

"We appreciate everything that Shayne has done for the Coyotes the past two seasons," said Armstrong. "He is the consummate professional and we wish him all the best in the future."
Gostisbehere was acquired by the Coyotes from the Philadelphia Flyers on July 22, 2021 with a 2022 second round draft choice (Artyom Duda) and a 2022 seventh round draft choice in exchange for future considerations. He registered 24-58-82 and 54 PIM (penalty minutes) in 134 games with the Coyotes.
