Coyotes Acquire 2023 5th Round Draft Pick from Vegas for Dysin Mayo

SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA -Arizona Coyotes General Manager Bill Armstrong announced today that the Coyotes have acquired a 2023 fifth-round draft choice from the Vegas Golden Knights in exchange for defenseman Dysin Mayo. The Coyotes also acquired the contract of defenseman Shea Weber in the deal.

Mayo played 82 games for the Coyotes from 2021-23 and registered 4-8-12 and 35 penalty minutes (PIM). He was drafted by the Coyotes in the fifth round (133rd overall) in the 2014 NHL Draft.
Weber played 1,038 NHL games from 2005-21 with the Nashville Predators and Montreal Canadiens, recording 224-365-589 and 714 PIM. His last NHL appearance came in Game 5 of the 2021 Stanley Cup Final. Weber's current contract runs through the 2025-26 season.
