The forward's contributions helped guide Winnipeg to the top of the league standings and an appearance in the WHL conference finals.
The Strathclair, MB native ranked fourth on the ICE in points during the regular season, while his eight post-season assists were fifth on the club. Among NHL Central Scouting's ranked prospects from the WHL, Geekie ranked sixth with 70 points, while his goals and assists totals ranked 10th and fifth, respectively.
Geekie, who was ranked fifth among North American skaters by Central Scouting, has registered 33-60-93, 71 PIM and a plus-55 rating over 94 regular-season WHL games from 2019-22. Prior to being draft-eligible, Geekie's 24-game campaign in 2020-21 saw him rank second among all WHL rookies in points with 9-14-23, trailing only Connor Bedard.
Geekie's brother, Morgan, is a forward playing in the NHL who was a third-round pick by the Hurricanes in 2017 (67th overall). He currently plays for the Seattle Kraken.
