Coyotes center Joel Perrault is dealing with concussion-related issues at this time, and Friday was not a good day for him.

Perrault has yet to skate at training camp because he is recovering from a hit he absorbed during a shinny game at the Alltel Ice Den in Scottsdale just before camp opened. Instead of skating, Perrault has been riding a stationary bike during camp. On Friday morning, he did not feel well enough to ride the bike and is out indefinitely.

“I was OK for the last three days, but then I rode the bike yesterday and didn’t feel good today,” Perrault said Friday. “So, we’ve got to take a step back. We’ll see. I could feel great tomorrow.”

Perrault, who signed a two-year contract with the team this summer, is disappointed he’s not on the ice trying to win a roster spot.

“It’s too bad, I was looking forward to camp and I was ready to go,” Perrault said. ”I was looking forward to this year and it’s always frustrating when an injury happens before camp because you work so hard in the summer. But I’ve got to keep my mind positive, and when I get back I’m going to work hard and we’ll see what happens.”
