BERNE, Switzerland - Russia won the 2009 International Ice Hockey Federation World Championship on Sunday with a 2-1 victory over Canada, giving Russia two straight titles.
Coyotes goalie Ilya Bryzgalov made 37 saves for Russia. Coyotes defenseman Dmitri Kalinin assisted on Russia's first goal.
Alexander Radulov scored the winning goal midway through the second period. He beat Canadian goalie Dwayne Roloson with a wrist shot after going around defenseman Chris Phillips.
Jason Spezza scored for Canada, which led 1-0. Coyotes captain Shane Doan
assisted on Spezza's goal. Coyotes forwards Matthew Lombardi and Scottie Upshall also played for Canada.
