The Ontario Hockey League announced that Phoenix Coyotes prospect and Oshawa Generals' left winger Brett MacLean is the Boston Pizza OHL Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday November 4 after scoring eight goals and one assist for nine points in three games.

MacLean started the week with a pair of goals in an 8-3 loss to the Kitchener Rangers on November 1. He followed up with four consecutive goals - including one on the powerplay, one even strength, one shorthanded and the final one into an empty net - in a 6-3 win over the Brampton Battalion on November 2. MacLean finished the week with two goals and an assist in a 9-5 win over the Kingston Frontenacs on November 4. He was the third star of Thursday's game and earned first star honours on Friday and Sunday.

The 19-year-old native of Port Elgin, ON is sixth in the OHL scoring race with 15 goals and 14 assists for 29 points in 13 games this season. MacLean, a second round pick of the Phoenix Coyotes in the NHL Entry Draft last June, is two points shy of 200 in his four year OHL career.
