Coyotes forward Mikkel Boedker scored two goals on Monday as Denmark defeated Austria 5-2 at the IIHF World Championship in Switzerland. With the victory, Denmark qualified for the 2010 World Championship in Germany.

Boedker scored a dazzling goal in the second period to tie the score at 2. While shorthanded, Boedker took the puck the length of the ice and roofed a shot past Austria goalie Bernd Bruckler. He added an empty-net goal with 37 seconds left in regulation to cap the win.

The native of Brondby, Denmark has three goals and an assist in six IIHF games.
