Mullett Magic is alive and well.
Five different Arizona Coyotes scored, six recorded multi-point games, and Karel Vejmelka made 40 saves as Arizona beat the St. Louis Blues 6-2 at Mullett Arena on Tuesday.
Pavel Buchnevich scored both goals for the Blues, while Jordan Binnington stopped 21 of the 27 shots he faced in the loss.
The Coyotes turned in a complete team effort in the win, which came just four days after the trade deadline drastically changed the team's roster. Arizona improved to 15-11-3 at home this season as Travis Boyd scored twice, while Clayton Keller, Nick Schmaltz, Christian Fischer, and Lawson Crouse also found the back of the net. In all, 10 different players found the scoresheet.

Arizona finished 2-0-1 against St. Louis this season.
Boyd recorded his 100th career point with his second goal in the third period, which at the time gave the Coyotes a 4-2 lead. The 29-year-old forward has played 138 of his 262 career games in Arizona, dating back to the beginning of last season.

"If you were seven-year-old Travis and said that would happen, he would have loved it," Boyd said of his 100 points. "Super cool, I'm proud of that, and hopefully I can get 100 more."
Vejmelka also came up big throughout Tuesday's game, helping the Coyotes control the pace despite getting outshot 42-27. No stop was greater than his glove save on a St. Louis 2-on-0 break in the second period, which helped swing the momentum in Arizona's favor.
"That was, wow," head coach André Tourigny said of the save. "I think that was really a momentum changer for both teams. I think it killed them a little bit and gave us some energy. He was rock solid."
Vejmelka is 11-6-2 at home this season, and now has three 40+ save wins this season.
Arizona's mettle was even more impressive considering how the game started.
St. Louis took an early advantage, grabbing a 1-0 lead just 2:12 into the game after Buchnevich beat Vejmelka glove side on a breakaway. Fischer tied it up at 12:53 of the opening frame, though, and Schmaltz put the Coyotes up for good with a power-play goal at 16:25 of the second period.
Schmaltz has now scored in nine of his last 13 games, and reached the 20-goal mark for the second consecutive season.

Boyd gave Arizona a two-goal lead just 2:01 into the final frame, backhanding a shot from the slot past Binnington, and though Buchnevich pulled the Blues to within one at 8:18 with his second goal of the game, Boyd answered right back to restore Arizona's two-goal cushion.
Tuesday marked his first-career multi-point game, and highlighted just how close this team has become as it continues to embrace the tough-nosed, hard-working identity that Tourigny has been fostering since taking over as head coach prior to last season.
"A lot of guys stepped up tonight and pulled together," Fischer said. "This is our team moving forward, for the next 20 games or so. We've done a good job of sticking together and playing really well, especially at home. It's fun to play here."
Keller put the game out of reach at 12:49 of the third, finishing a give-and-go with Schmaltz to give the Coyotes a 5-2 lead, before Crouse rounded out the scoring with his 21st of the season, marking a new career high.

That got The Mullett rocking yet again, and the Coyotes' opponents are on notice considering 12 of Arizona's final 18 games are at home.
"It's a tough place to come in and play," Boyd said. "Our record speaks to that. We're excited that we're home for a lot of the stretch run."
Arizona is back in action on Thursday against the Nashville Predators, and the game will be broadcast on Bally Sports Arizona (TV) and Arizona Sports 98.7 FM (Radio). Puck drop is scheduled for 7 pm MST.
